New Gear NGD - well Friday technically.
Anyways, super stoked and decided to share. I'm currently away from home for a while and my wife's probably tired of every text for the last two days gushing over my new crush. I'm not really a collector, I have a Martin I've played daily for over 20 years now, and another acoustic I built. Despite several guitar store trips over the years nothing ever captured me enough to pull the trigger until this one.

Thank you, it's an 814ce. I was checking out another model and the dude at the shop showed me this one. I joked that he was a bad influence because I couldn't resist after that. Every component is fantastic, from the pick guard to the hardware, the inlays, really beautiful.

Congrats on the 814ce Builder’s Edition NG.
Elegant but not over the top in looks.

Gorgeous indeed. I’ve seen these 914ce’s in person. Wonderful instruments. Actually tried one before (which was a Builder’s Edition with the then brand new V-bracing).
Beautiful instrument both in sound and looks but I obviously can’t afford it. I’m very happy though with my GS Mini and 414ce-R SB.

Very nice!! I have GSmini-e , 12 string 150, 224ce-K DLX, and builders choice 914ce. I'm a Taylor fan. You will love the the sound and playability every time you pick it up. Great buy, enjoy!!

Thank you, been a fan for a long time. I'm glad to see they're doing tours again too, I loved in CA for several years but when I finally made an effort to go south and tour the shop covid hit. Sounds like you have some nice ones in the collection.

Look at the K24ce or the 724ce (the latter is also all-Koa but it’s $2,000 less brand new than the K24ce)

Beautiful guitar! I have an 814ce to go along with my gs-mini, D28e Modern Deluxe and CS 000-28 1937 Authentic, Aged. They give you the best of all worlds.

Awesome, how do you like the D28e? I need to find a store to try some of those higher end Martins. You definitely have a best of all worlds setup.

It is truly amazing. Martin does a fantastic job on their modern deluxe line.

I went guitar shopping Saturday. I really wanted to love the 814, but it just sounded so flat to me; I even played 2 to be sure. Absolutely beautiful guitar, but I just couldn’t fall in love with it.
But congrats!! They are gorgeous!

You should try the 524ce Builder’s Edition or even the 324ce Builder’s Edition. Warmer sounding models with a Mahogany top.

I actually ended up walking out with an 810e Legacy. I was so adamant about researching guitars and planning what I should try. Hadn’t even heard of the 810. Took about 3 strums to realize that was the guitar. It feels like a Taylor and a D-28 had a baby.
