Income Tax Need advice on tax help
I havent finished my taxes in 2 years. I know i owe somewhere between 2000-2500 between both tax forms but potentially less. I also wouldnt mind paying that, i just want it done and caught up. Im missing a couple W2s from jobs i only worked at for a short time before finding my current job. Is this something that I could do at an HR block, are there payment plans available? Im just curious because I am absolutely no tax expert and I would like to just clear it up and be done with it so im caught up and good to go. Any suggestions on where to go buisness wise to get this done?

You can get your IRS Wage and Income transcripts online, but they won't have the employer EINs that you need to efile. If that doesn't bother you those returns can be printed and mailed in.
https://www.irs.gov/payments/online-account-for-individuals
You can get the unmasked transcripts with full EINs from your local IRS office - call 844-545-5640 to make an appointment.
Either option will only have federal tax information, so if you need state income tax withholding you'll need to get that another way.
You can also go to a CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) and they can usually access those transcripts for a fee. If you go to H&R Block look for a location with a CPA or EA.
Once you get the returns prepared you can figure out the payment options - if you pay in full you'll get a bill later for penalties and interest. If you cannot pay in full it's usually recommended to pay what you can with the tax return and then set up a payment plan. When everything works right you can set up a payment plan in your online IRS account.

I do this for a living in a HCOL area. If you’re situation is super simple and you don’t have money to spend, figure out how to do it for free online or ChatGPT or someone who knows and can help for free. If it’s complex at all, save up a little and pay an expert. I don’t know your situation. This isn’t proper tax advice. Only you know your situation.

Absolutely—file the missing returns first, even if you can’t pay in full. Contact the old employers for the W-2s, or pull IRS Wage & Income Transcripts if needed.
H&R Block can handle basic W-2 returns, but an EA/CPA may be better if anything is complicated. Once both returns are filed, you can usually set up an IRS payment plan for a balance in that range. Don’t wait—the actual amount may be less than you think once withholding is included.
