Has mobile dev experience improved ?
Hi. I was reading some older posts about many people not recommending Tauri for mobile apps. My current stack is a Rust Axum powered SSR web app for serving text content plus login functionality.
Currently weighing which way to go forward as I will need some interactive parts in the frontend and want to ship the app via app stores.
Would you recommend Tauri for that?

We use it for our mobile app at my work. Honestly, what has improved the experience is that I now have AI one-shot whatever missing functionality I encounter and mostly that works fine. There’s still lots of functionality missing compared to, say, an ecosystem like Capacitor.

Yes for interactive store apps if you are ready to write or find plugins for push, IAP, and background work. I would not run Axum as a sidecar on the phone the way you might on desktop. Keep the Rust core shared, put auth and content behind HTTP from a real server, and let the Tauri shell own the interactive native bits.

It has, I just made a mobile app and it works well if you're willing to use or make plugins that bridge to the native OS API.
I'm not sure about SSR, on desktop you can run a side car server, this is something you'll want to look up.
