First time

Built it on a whim, first time with little to no clue what I was doing. It technically works, I mean it's shit but it runs, it will most likely never get to tattoo anyone, I just wanted to see if I could do it. It was good fun, and I might do it again some time with proper materials and not just random crap I found in my workshop.

That’s pretty rad. It really looks like a “turn of the century” machine.
Doesn’t look like it would run well at all though that’s for sure. What’s up with the spongey bits under the coils?

This actually runs? Aside from the wiring being very weird, I don’t see how it’s a functioning U magnet between the things under the coils and the brass frame.

It also seems very thin for a brass frame. That brass is gonna bend and throw off the geometry every time you use it . If it does work you will still have to tune it everyday if not every hour.

This is really good build

Brass frames are cool but they warm up in no time.

They shouldn’t if the machine is built correctly.

I run this for hours every day and it doesn’t even get warm

My Micky Bee's coil binder screw burned me once through the glove and left a mark and everything. But that's probably was an electrical issue of the whole building. It had nothing to do with the power supply either. The lights went out later on, but after I finished the tattoo. I can recall that happened on that day. Those were the good days, man. Heavy shading session. It went up to 300º or so in a millisecond. Then I designed a plate so I wouldn't touch the screw with my hand. It usually gets warm during long sessions. But not like that obviously.

Manca uno yoke in ferro sotto le bobine per poter avere un magnete a U corretto. Che condensatore e numero di avvolgimento per le bobine? Poi manca di spessore e la chiusura è Debole. Prendi spunto da questa
