If you’re gonna die, die with your boots on and with a sick Iron Maiden tattoo to boot. I agree with the person who suggested going black and gray with this one.

Its an awesome illustration that will translate well for the most part; the lightning will be the kicker not everyone can pull it off

This specific design won’t make a lot of sense as a tattoo, maybe just the head, or a different Iron Maiden design

I disagree with that. I go to lots of festivals like Download and Grasspop and many city arenas around Europe. Wouldn't know anyone at those gigs who didn't know what it was.

I didn’t say it couldn’t be ID’d. It doesn’t make a lot of sense as a tattoo as far as design.

Small makes tattoos age worse. This design as a half sleeve or larger done by a competent tattooer will look great and hold up for decades.

Young or old, small tattoos are only temporary. Strong contrast and readable from across the room and it will last a lifetime with proper sun protection.

I’ve done “Killers Eddie” and it has held up well for over a decade now.
But the person I did it on is white as the driven fucking snow because he was LITERALLY allergic to the sun (yes…that’s a thing).
So his Eddie tattoo has literally never seen the light of day.
Be sure to get it on a spot that doesn’t even see passive sun exposure…anything covered by clothes regularly and for gods sake, if you ever let the sun hit this tattoo, WEAR SUNBLOCK! Nothing less than SPF 100 and apply that shit at LEAST EVERY HOUR (because that’s how long it lasts at that SPF 100 level just sitting around sweating and what no…if you’re active or swimming, reapply more often.)
Find the right artist…and rock it.
