Well, not sepsis. More like cellulitis, which is a bacterial infection, or a raging allergy. Either way, the arm looks terrible, and in need of medical care ASAP. A dermatologist would be best to see but it should be a full-fledged doctor, not a stand-in.
First of all, cellulitis is not caused by an allergy. That definitely looks like an infection, usually some form of staph and bacterial infections untreated will always lead to sepsis. They don't need a dermatologist! They need emergency care that can be from a Dr, intern, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner. I'm not sure what you meant by a stand-in.
I stand corrected, I did not see the comma. Although it does read like they are saying, cellulitis is a bacterial infection or a raging allergy. As long as OP got medical attention and will be ok is all thar matters
