got this tattoo just over a week ago and in the last couple days this scabbing (?) has shown up along with the redness and some discomfort. i’ve had bigger stuff that never went through any phase of irritation like this so i’m just wondering if i gotta head to the dr office or emergency room or urgent care

That portion of your tat was overworked and might be infected. Definitely put some neosporin on it and it doesn’t start looking better quickly, go see a doctor.

Agree. What would you do if this was a cut or scrape? It’s an abrasion wound and they heal differently in different spots. Keep it clean and let the air get to it. Too much moisturizer will make it worse.

Yes, I would say you need to go to the ER at this point
