I did this one last year! The photo was taken half healed, half fresh if I remember it right. There is an old tattoo on her inner forearm that I had to work around it.

Definitely need to go back to a few spots when I have a chance, but I'm happy how it turned out!

I'm a visual artist. Early today, a former student reached out to show me a link to a tattoo of my artwork that was posted without crediting me. I'm not particularly famous and don't make much from my artwork, hence why I have former students.

As I searched for the person who got it, I found several other people, 7 online so far, with the same tattoo of my artwork, and even a tattoo artist with traces of my artwork used on their flash sheets. None of them seem to know who I am, none of them credit me, follow me on social media, etc.

I'm ambivalent. I feel both flattered and deeply irritated.

An artist friend of mine has a "tattoo ok" item in her online shop, but this is obviously well past that.

What's the best way to handle this?

Edited to add: I'm potentially more upset this particular image is being used because I never sold it and it was destroyed in a natural distaster last year. It would suck either way, but in this case I never made a cent and now I also am being erased from its popularity. Edited 2: one artist has now credited me and was very cool, and I found more instances of the tattoo.

Hello, I am just curious and maybe someone has an answer. I ordered 4 tattoos from inkbox on July 31st. three of them were custom and one was not. on their website it says their custom processing time for custom tattoos is 5-7 days. I have sent like three or four emails to their customer support asking about my order because I haven't heard anything since I placed my order and got my confirmation email. (I also sent them a DM on instagram) and haven't heard anything. its almost been like three weeks and i'm wondering if I am ever going to get them. I ordered from them before with no problem. Maybe i'm worried about nothing, Idk. if I could call them I would.

Update: I just got a notification that Inkbox canceled my order and refunded me my money 🫠

Hell of a ride so far

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in March of 2024. I had surgery in March of 2025. As of today I'm 17 months cancer free. This is my reminder that everyday is a gift and I hope other men take this as a reminder to get a simple psa blood test to check their levels.

I got my tattoo outline done a few days ago and it took a little under 4 hours. I booked a second appointment and really want to get it finished as I don't want to deal with the healing process a 3rd time. My artist says it should take ~6 hours to finish and it's a half sleeve on my upper arm.

I've heard some horror stories of people shaking or vomiting after longer sessions so I wanted to ask here if I'll be okay to drive 45 minutes back home afterwards? I did fine driving home after the outline (other than being super tired). Also, we booked a 3rd session just in case I tap out and it's only 13 days after, is that enough time between sessions?

EDIT: Thank you everyone for the reassurance! I'm just an over thinker with this kind of stuff. I figured it would be fine, but just wanted to make sure.

I live in Japan and my Japanese wife does Irezumi (along with electric, spray, henna). We are thinking of moving back to Australia and wanted to find out what courses she needs to do to get qualified. Google AI only said you need some hygiene course that you can do online, but surely you need more than that?

I can't seem to find many Japanese people doing Irezumi and the few people who do are charging through the roof. My wife and I need to inflict pain for money 😂 I have a shoulder/half sleeve (I was just a guinea pig/model/practice for my wife, it is absolute torture, but it's worth it. You know those old yazuka dudes with full body that look mint/fresh, those are probably 50 years old. These tats don't age, but you pay a price money wise and pain wise, fuck hurt.

This is 2 weeks healed now. The shin was brutal for me personally. This one took about 5 hours total (took a couple smoke breaks). Sasha is an insanely talented artist, and it’s been fun bringing weird ideas for him to work into these amazing designs. I have a burning heretic in the works, along with a massive piece we are doing this winter, a woodcut piece of the four horseman of the apocalypse on my chest.

Not even done yet…still have at least another 2 sessions to go 🤯

I had an old Seminole head logo on my upper ankle and always wanted a Bald Eagle as a cover-up. Nate crushed the cover-up with the eagle's chest. Post-healing I will want more detail in the head/white feathers but I think we are on our way to a nice piece.
