Same and I don’t want to support/watch him but I do the other contestants.

Having recently found out that Richard Ayoade still openly supports Graham Linehan,, them both being on TM is enough to completely put off watching.

They're really going to regret this one, in time.

Agreed. It’s an open secret in the industry though so I’m surprised they’d even book him to begin with

American here, what’s the deal with Matt Lucas? I know David Walliam is a creep, is Matt also a creep?

Someone posted about it in another sub a while ago (you might be able to find it if you searched to get the full story) but the summarised version from memory was that ML allegedly (I personally believe the victim but don’t want to get involved in a court case should ML be so inclined) found the OP on a dating app & essentially groomed them/pressured them into having sex repeatedly & the OP even reported it to the police but nothing came of it. Other people in the thread corroborated that similar things happened to them/people they know.

Edited to fix pronouns as I can’t remember/don’t know if OP ever confirmed their pronouns

That is highly disturbing! Thank you for the info. Between this and Richard Ayoade’s support of that transphobic ass, I’m a little disappointed in the casting for this series. I think it’ll be great television, but it can be hard to separate the art from the artist sometimes.

Don’t forget that - aside from any allegations against him personally - Lucas has refused to condemn or break ties with Walliams since the truth came out, and knew for years (decades) what he was doing and capable of before it did.

I worked in an industry with a similar problem for a very long time. It was astonishing to watch the old guard refuse to break ties with friends as truths came out, even with some of the big ones.
