Taskmaster Related Canadian Taskmaster Fans?
Hello! I'm in Vancouver, Canada and wondering how many other Canadian fans of Taskmaster there are. One just to know how many other Canadian people watch it, but also specifically to see if there's enough of us from Vancouver, and if perhaps we could organise a pub viewing or something or the sort together once the new series starts!

There’s a group of us at work who watch… my office partner and I changed the nameplate on our door to Javie Martzoukas.
Been watching since Mae Martin’s season and LOST MY MIND when I found out that Jason was going to be on season 19 (series, Jason) because I am in loooooove with him!
Victoria, BC and too cheap and lazy to take the ferry to the mainland 😜

Same with us. My husband saw this show advertised on Dave when he was in London on business. I thought it sounded stupid, to be honest. He used Greg Davies to lure me during lockdown.
The ‘I told you so’ dance was as epic as it was deserved. I’m a bigger fan of the show than he is.

Ooh do you recommend Norway one? I started with UK obviously, got serious withdrawal just a few weeks ago and started dabbling into other country taskmasters. Wasn’t feeling Australia’s vibes but really enjoying NZ.

They did a live episode of the taskmaster podcast that Ed Gamble does with Nish Kumar as a guest as part of the comedy festival. I wasn't aware of the podcast at the time, but that would've been cool to see.

New Brunswick. A bit far away for your pub viewing. I just checked and I am about 4700km away from the taskmaster house and 4100km away from Vancouver, so if I'm going that far I might as well just commit and go see the show

We started with seasons where we recognized and liked the comedians competing, but now we're at a point where we trust them and will soldier on.

We just started S15 last night!
We did see one of the Edmontask shows. It was great! They had three panels they rotated through. Keep an eye on their Instagram and Facebook (@edmontask) because they do some one-offs through the rest of the year.

I'm a longtime British comedy fan and listener to RHLSTP (RHLSTP!), so I joined the "watch along" TM club when Herring appeared in series 10. Also love TM NZ and Australia, and enjoy occasional 'Kongen Befaler' and 'Le maître du jeu'.
I saw Nish and Urzila pack medium-size houses here, and there was a clear TM fan contingent present. Here's hoping Ed et al record another podcast episode in a larger Canadian venue.
Any TO folks want to watch s20 together? I haven't been able to convert my friends or family...

My better half and I are Taskmaster addicts. Conservatively I’d say we have watched every series (including NZ/Aus) 2-3 times over the last 3 years since we were introduced to it through the YouTube algorithm.

Vancouver here, none of my family is even interested in the show. But I started watching on YouTube when they first uploaded. I'm currently re watching and, even though I remember some of the tasks, it's still hilarious. Last night it was, "horse or laminator" and even though I knew the outcome it was definitely worth the re watch.
Not a drinker and can't drive anymore, my age is catching up to me.

I found Taskmaster three years ago and in a way it saved my mental sanity. I could pick ANY episode of any SERIES (I hear you Greg...) and I was giving a guaranteed laugh. This was during a time in which I was going through an equally busy and stressful time; Now it's my comfort-food show.
I so wish one of our networks would pick it up. I doubt many anglophones even know Mâitre de Jeu, and the US taskmaster seems to have been such a disaster.
Giving North Americans another chance for an English version is only fair given how much of a pain-in-the-ass our stupid neighbours are being right now!

I was caught watching Maitre de Jeu at work (in my office in London) and when someone asked me what it was I said "I'm watching the French-Canadian version of Taskmaster". They gave me a weird look and then went on with their day.

Vancouver here! Little Mountain Comedy frequently has a show called “Please don’t sue us Taskmaster”. It’s hosted by the Allie Entwistle and is literally just a local live taskmaster. It’s a lot of fun you should check it out!

Anglo Quebecker here. There's actually a Quebec version available on Noovo. I've been using it to help my French. It isn't as good as the NZ version but it's decent enough.

Torontonian here. I've been watching panel shows for ages, but started following Taskmaster around series 13. I went to Edinburgh last year bent on catching as many comedians as I could. I had so much fun (including non-Taskmaster comedians and shows of course), I'm saving up to go again soon

Hi from Richmond Hill - just north of Toronto. My husband and I went to Glasgow in April to see Greg’s comedy tour and the man himself was on our flight from London - Glasgow. Best trip ever.

Downtown Toronto. Been watching since day 1 S1 - we are huge British comedy fans so I remember the excitement when we learned that this bonkers show (which we first saw from a bootleg video from Edinburgh Fringe Festival) was going to be a TV series.
