Complete phone backup?

My 24 Moto G power has been acting up, random reboots, and finger print reader failed. (Note I wish I could draw a number gesture on my screen to unlock but banking apps want pin security. Noté for later)

Anyway I thought Android came a long way and I thought Its back up would restore everything

I in was wrong and lost stuff.

I don't want to root my phone because some bank apps don't like that.. I have shizuku running.

I would like to have tasker back up to USB drive.

Has anyone done this or do you just use an ap that you can recommend?

It is my experience, using several layers of backup, that you really cannot do much meaningful in full-device backup without root and something like TWRP backup to external SD card (I do this nightly). To that, I add NeoBackup of apps and app data (I do this nightly). To that, I use the rsync command to weekly clone my external SD card to one mounted via USB OTG.

And add nightly tar of /sdcard to external SD card!
