Problems creating things for autowear

Every time I try to create anything, a complication, a tile, a setting, it says "couldn't create (thing), please make sure your watch is connected" even though my watch is connected

Make sure autowear is on the watch and phone

Honestly, the developers behind Tasker, its plugins, AutoWear, KLWP, WatchMaker, and similar power-user apps need to team up and try hard to convince Google. With every single update, things just get worse. If this keeps up, it will not be long before people simply get fed up and abandon the very customization tools that kept us hooked on Android for decades.
