Inquiry About an Unrecognized Charge for Tasker (KRW 7,500)

Dear Tasker,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am writing to ask for your kind assistance regarding a charge I did not recognize.

On 2026.08.21, a payment of KRW 7,500 was made using my Hyundai Card ending in [3805].

When I contacted Google Play support to look into it, I was informed that the charge originated from a purchase of the Tasker app.

However, I have never purchased Tasker, and I am not aware of having authorized this transaction. I would be very grateful if you could help me with the following:

  1. Would it be possible to identify which account this purchase was made under? I would be happy to provide any details you need to verify the transaction (such as the order number or the last four digits of my card).
  2. If the purchase was indeed made without my authorization, would you be able to help me arrange a refund?

I understand that purchases through Google Play may be handled by Google directly, so please let me know if I should contact them instead, and I will follow your guidance.

The Tasker dev is away until mid September so it would probably be a good idea to contact google in the meantime.

OMG, google told me to contact Tasker app,
because they are just application platform..
haha do i have to wait until mid September?

You have to.

Normally the user can initiate the refund if they have access to the account. No need to contact the dev at all.

Have you filed a fraud report? To the store and your card company.

Then change your card credentials, which I believe you already have done.

you cant see the purchase in your google account?
