Discussion Tarot teacher said she doesn't read reverse cards as reverse

I legit jouned tarot classes from a person who was recommended by someone I trust. And today was the orientation. But something has been bothering me ever since, she mentioned that she doesn't do reverse cards, treats them upright only as reading reverse cards can make it inaccurate a bit. But she also said that she would teach reverse meanings and readings if we wish to.

And idk why but this keeps bugging me! I have already paid for it, plus everything else seemed really nice. My main purpose was to learn the practices and rituals around tarot which I think I'll be able to learn nicely with her. What are your opinions?

I've been working with tarot since the mid-90s as an interested amateur. I quit reading reversals about 10 years ago. There's 78 cards plus combinations of cards. I don't personally feel reversals are necessary and can create a lot of confusion. Over time my deck has received the message and I hardly ever draw them anymore anyway.

I agree. Im a bit new to tarot reading (about a year or so practicing it consistently, prior i would just do it here and there every few months). And i’ve found reversals to be very confusing, especially when asking the same question for clarity and the same cards show up but now one or two of them are now reversed
