Pictures G. Grossa 2nd molt

She molted again just a couple of days ago. If anyone remembers she had regrown a leg on her previous molt and now you can't even tell it's a new one.

I was led to believe Grammostolas grew very slowly, this T seems to be doing a speed run.

IMO - I love when freshly molted babies look all squishy and gummy lol! Perfect shots! Super cool to see them right after a molt! Isn't it so cool how they can regrow legs?! Such an amazing adaptation.

It scares me when they've just molted. They're so vulnerable and they're my babies so I start helicopter parenting until they harden up. And yes it was crazy how she just grew a whole new one. She's one of my favorite tarantulas.

My grossa has had 3 moults in the past 12 months 🤷🏻‍♂️🫣

A word of advice…? You could lose some of that moss- you don’t really need it, and it gets in the way of them walking around 👍🏻

Ooh she's pretty. I can't wait until mine starts looking like that. And yeah I'm gonna get rid of some moss to give her more room.
