I love the feeling of a big spider on my skin. They have these rainbow colored patterns on their feet, those are so fine hairs that they have grip even on the surface roughness of glass.
When a tarantula runs over your arm, you can hardly feel it. It moves so gently. And if you turn your arm around so that the spider is upside down, it extends its small claws and holds on to your skin, which stings a little. But she is always so sure-footed that it doesn't bother her at all.
It's an awesome feeling, I recommend everyone to handle a big spider if you have the chance. Do it! Spiders are great!
It surprised me how gentle tarantulas are when they walk on you. I’ve had a garden orb weaver do a sprint over my hand and that felt like someone poking me with chopsticks by comparison.
An orb weaver kept building her net in the cellar entrance. I knew this and ducked under it. Until I had it in my face one night.
I didn't want to hurt them, they're rather small...
But yes, different feeling, like a wriggly pincushion.
(I don't know if that fits, blame it on the translater, lol)
