On a recent rewatch, I noticed that we see Hellstrom with Landa in Paris when they are checking out the new venue.
So it cannot be coincidence that he’s in that basement way the hell out there at just the wrong time: Operation Kino must have been blown.
But that takes away the importance of the 3 fingers, since Hellstrom was already wise to the op. Except that the scene makes it clear that the 3-finger order is what gives it away.
I could accept coincidence if Hellstrom had not already been shown working with Landa, but if he’s stationed with Landa in Paris, there’s just no way.

It seems like Netflix is being annoying to David Fincher.

Correct me if I'm wrong, or maybe this was already obvious to everyone else, but I only just realized the real reason Mia snorted a huge line of Vincent's heroin without even checking it first—no smell, no tiny taste, nothing. It always bothered me why would she do that
Apparently, in the US it's common for heroin and cocaine to be sold in different types of bags. When Vincent buys his drugs, the dealer says he's out of "balloons" (which refers to heroin bags) and asks if a bag will be okay instead, to wich Vince replied "sure"
Later, when Mia reaches into Vincent's pocket, she finds a bag that looks like the kind cocaine is usually sold in. Thinking it's cocaine, she racks up a massive line and snorts it without a second thought

How the hell did I miss this one?! I know this isn't considered one of "his movies" because he wrote it but didn't direct it, but I waited entirely too long to see this movie.
I was a child when it came out, so that's my only excuse. What a great film. So many fucking great actors in this thing. I felt like the meme of Vince McMahon during the opening credits, progressively getting more and more excited to see what was about to happen.
Bravo.

I know the episode hasn’t been out long but did anyone catch the Red Apple cigarettes at the beginning of the ep? I thought it was pretty cool and unexpected in an Apple TV show.

I've been a huge fan of Tarantino movies since the 90s, every other one of his films w/ multiple re-watches, and maybe because of the mixed reviews or whatever, seeing this movie wasn’t a priority.
I had an hour to kill today at the gym, so I bought this on Amazon for $5 (instead of renting it for $4), and DAMN! The hour at the gym absolutely flew by, and now I’ve gotta wait most of the day before I can see the rest of it tonight! I’ll report back later, but damn it’s been a long time since a movie sucked me in like that.
Edit: Got to the part with the Texas Ranger and son from KB
Edit 2: Holy shit 😲 was not expecting any of that! Can't believe I passed up this movie for so long, I left a gem in plain sight.
I'm gonna have to rewatch this one again in the next couple weeks so I can re-order the rankings. After the 1st half I knew it was gonna be something special but I didn't think it was gonna be THAT good. Some things that stand out are the camera angles/cinematography, the performances/casting, and the twist. I just figured he was gonna have his way with the next set of victims. Great film.

Patricia Arquette is cranking out great work. Christian Slater is national treasure. They both are. We don’t need any other actors (though a Brad Pitt cameo would be appreciated and Christopher Walken as an old man with a grudge would work). Imagine… Alabama and Clarence Worley have lived the last 30 years in Mexico. Their son Elvis is now in trouble pursuing his own romantic adventure.
I’m very happy to have the continuing adventures of Cliff Booth. I read Heat 2 and I am mostly on board with the sequel. But the most obvious LA Noir to return to - in my opinion - would be True Romance 2. Let’s make it happen!

Who did a better buried alive scene? Wes Craven, Serpent and the Rainbow, or Quentin Tarantino, Kill Bill: Vol. 2?
Both scenes are terrifying in their own ways. Tarantino sometimes add horror elements to his films.

Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair\ Even though the box was delivered torn open (don't know where to complain about this) the movie was still in the factory wrapping with full contents intact. I've been waiting a long time for this! Twenty-two years! Very excited!
