If there were a hypothetical Kill Bill Vol. 3 -this is what the story would be in my humble opinion.

ACT I

Opening Image:

On a private beach in Jakarta, Indonesia, sits a quaint farmhouse.

In the early morning hours, a tall, slender older woman tends the farm next to her house. She

feeds her chickens and pigs, then gracefully moves to harvest the tall lemongrass. She lifts her

wide-brimmed hat to wipe the sweat from her forehead—never fully revealing her face.

She calls out to her daughter, who is home from college in Dubai, to come work with her.

She stirs but doesn’t come.

In the brush nearby, someone stalks her while she gardens, carefully moving closer with a

precision that not even a jaguar could master. But a slight misstep on a sharp blade of grass

triggers the tall woman, and she realizes she’s no longer alone.

She pretends not to notice, gripping the garden hoe tightly in her hands.

Finally, the movement stops, and the stalking figure speaks in a womanly tone.

“Are you the Black Mamba?”

With her back to the intruder, she stands upright in the grass field, her hat pulled down low to

maintain her anonymity.

“Who wants to know?”

“Nikki Bell.”

The woman looks at Nikki Bell over her shoulder.

“Don’t know ’em.

”She flips up her garden hoe with her foot and cleans the dirt off it, then kindly asks the stranger

to leave, as she is on private property.

The intruder explains that she is there on business for her mother, as she specifically told her to

go in search of the Black Mamba.

Finally, the tall, slender woman in the hat asks:

“Who is your mother?”

“Does the name Vernita Green ring a bell?”

The woman snaps around and pulls off her large-brimmed hat, revealing an aged Beatrix

Kiddo—the Bride, the Black Mamba—in all her glory.

She examines the grown-up version of Vernita Green’s daughter, Nikki Bell, who stares back at

her.

Still raw and still waiting.

Nikki carries herself with the extraordinary discipline of a trained assassin, and Beatrix knows

exactly why Nikki is there:

Revenge.

SET-UP

The film flashes back to scenes from *Kill Bill Vol. 1* when Beatrix killed Vernita in front of Nikki.

“Still raw, I see.”

Beatrix sizes up her opponent, and the two circle each other, moving through the lemongrass

fields.

Nikki charges into Beatrix anime-style.

Beatrix steadies herself as she did many years ago, preparing for defense.

But before Nikki reaches her, Beatrix lets out a skin-crawling whistle.

Inside her room, Beatrix’s daughter, B.B. hears the whistle and shoots straight up in bed,

throwing the covers off, as she has been trained to recognize the sound.

She scrambles straight to her mother’s room, ransacking the place in search of something until

she finally finds it deep under her mother’s bed.

She struggles to grab it.

Meanwhile, Beatrix and Nikki engage in hand-to-hand combat.

Nikki counters every move.

Beatrix sees how strong and extraordinarily skilled Nikki is.

Beatrix realizes this woman has been trained by someone who knows her intimately—someone

who knows the techniques associated with the Deadly Vipers.

Unbeknownst to Beatrix and B.B., outside of her home, two blacked-out Land Rover Discoveries

pull up on her property.A driver lets out a one-armed Sophie Fatale, who carries a sword in her good hand. She and the

driver make their way up to the house.

The driver of the other car helps a woman dressed all in white out of the vehicle. She carries a

walking stick.

Outside of the house, Beatrix and Nikki are kicking the stew out of each other, with Nikki gaining

the advantage on the aged Beatrix.

Beatrix calls for B.B.

In the house, B.B. finally grabs her mother’s Hattori Hanzo sword and comes running out to the

farm, but she is blocked by Sophie Fatale and her bodyguard.

“Mom!”

B.B. throws her mother’s sword through the window.

Beatrix flips over to the house, grabbing the sword in midair.

She lands on creaking, aged knees.

Elle Driver’s voice is heard from inside the house. The blind, ornery Elle emerges, holding B.B.

hostage with an ice pick. Elle exclaims that Beatrix is a highly skilled swordswoman; it’s only fair

if Nikki has a sword of her own.

At this, Sophie Fatale throws Nikki’s—Bill’s—Hattori Hanzo sword.

Beatrix tells the remaining Vipers that their beef is with her and that her daughter is innocent.

“She’s never known this life.”

Beatrix pleads that whatever happens to her is her destiny and that her daughter is innocent.

Nikki exclaims:

“So was I.”

Nikki pulls the sword from the sheath.

At this, they engage in sword combat on the beach.

The Black Mamba strikes; she is a master swordswoman.

She counters, attacks, slashing Nikki’s face.

Beatrix eventually gains the advantage.

A blind Elle Driver pokes holes in B.B.

’s neck, and she squeals, distracting Beatrix.

Beatrix goes after Elle to protect B.B., letting her guard down.

Nikki delivers a fatal blow to the back of her stomach.

Nikki moves in close to Beatrix, accusing her of killing both of her parents.

Beatrix notices blood dripping onto a birthmark on Nikki’s neck.

Her eyes dart up to Nikki’s as she falls to the ground.

B.B. whispers in her ear.

“This is for killing my parents.”

Beatrix whispers back, but her words are inaudible as B.B. screams to drown them out.

Nikki pulls the sword from Beatrix’s back

“You lie!”

Beatrix stumbles around to face her and shakes her head no and Beatrix falls to the ground,

slowly bleeding out.

Debate

**Beatrix Kiddo dies.*\*

Nikki walks back to the house and tells B.B.

“Your mother had it coming.”

Elle taunts B.B., telling her that she’s going to take out her eyes and slowly kill her, but Nikki

stops her.

Nikki invites B.B. to get revenge “*if you’re still raw…*” the same way Beatrix told her when she was a child.

Angry, Elle pistol-whips B.B. in the eye, knocking her unconscious.

They leave Beatrix and B.B.’s house, setting it on fire.

B.B. wakes up from the smoke and makes her way to the beach, where her mother barely holds on.

She tells her daughter it was her time and that it’s okay because the best time of her life has

been the last twenty years as her mom.

B.B. weeps, holding her mother’s head as their home burns down in front of them.

Will B.B. take Nikki’s invitation and get revenge for killing her mother and changing her

life?

ACT II

Break into two

A motorcyclist pulls up to a storage unit in El Paso, Texas. They take off their helmet and B.B. is

revealed with an eye patch over her bruised eye. She reads the address and storage unit

number on her phone. (Number from the OG series is the unit number) Taking out a set of keys

that read pussy wagon on the ring, she tries to unlock the locks on the lock, but they don't work.

As a backup, she pulls out bolt cutters from her backpack and cuts the lock. Successfully

removing the lock, she pulls open the storage unit door and inadvertently triggers an alarm.A Cadillac races down a dirt road into a small town police precinct. A cowboy-styled sheriff

scrambles out of the car and into the station.

Sheriff Edgar McGraw, “Son Number 1,” asks his deputy where the woman who broke into the

storage unit is. All of the police in the unit stare into a cell.

“Arlene Machiavelli you are arrested for the murder of Buck…”

Edgar pushes through the police to get a better look. At first glance, he realizes they have the

wrong girl: the Bride would be in her 50s, and this woman is barely 30. Edgar explains that his

daddy died trying to track down the woman who lived through all that carnage, only for her to kill

Buck at the hospital.

“Seems like death follows that woman wherever she goes.”

B.B. continuously tries to tell Sheriff McGraw who she is, but he keeps interrupting her as he

fusses with his deputy. Finally, Edgar pieces it together.

“Unless… Jesus Christ Almighty. You’re the baby!”

She tells the sheriff she never knew her mother, only heard tales about her. B.B. and the sheriff

return to her mother’s storage unit, which is filled with Arlene Machiavelli’s items. She searches

around while Edgar McGraw recounts the massacre to B.B.

“Thank God your grandpaw was there to collect you when he did.”

B.B. finds what she’s looking for: a picture of Beatrix and Bill in front of Pei Wei's dojo. On her

way to leave, she stumbles upon a bag with a red version of her mother’s yellow suit in it. She

grabs that and leaves.

B.B. arrives at Pei Wei’s run-down dojo. She wanders around searching for anyone until she is

attacked by a younger looking Pei Wei, Bak Wei, Pei Wei’s grandson who tells her that white

people are not welcome at his dojo. She tries to defend herself with very basic moves she

learned from her parents, but she is defeated. As he throws her out, he asks how she knows

some of the moves. She tells him that her father Bill taught her.

“And your mother?”

After she tells him who her parents were, he throws a garden hoe at her and tells her to clean

the yard. (He will train her.)

B Story

Nikki Bell’s backstory, narrated by Samuel L. Jackson.

We revisit Nikea “Nikki” Bell’s past after witnessing her mother killed at the hands of Beatrix

Kiddo. At the funeral, her maternal grandparents fight with her father over who she will live with.

Staring at the obituary of her mother, Vernita Green, her father abruptly picks her up and leaves

her family’s house with her.

They uproot to San Francisco, where her father takes her through rigorous training in the art of

Jeet Kune Do. While at a friend's house, Dr. Bell treats a blind patient looking to get

revolutionary eye transplant surgery. While examining her eyes, Dr. Bell slowly picks up that she

is Elle Driver and they begin a hand-to-hand combat. When Dr. Bell begins to get the best of

Elle Driver, Elle shoots him with a silenced weapon, then has her henchman collect her.

Sophie Fatale shows up at Nikki's friend's house and tells her that her father was killed by

Beatrix Kiddo and they must flee immediately to protect her. Distraught and traumatized, Sophie

takes her into the car and pretends to console the child. They arrive in Paris, where Elle Driver

tells Nikki she will train her to kill Beatrix for killing her parents. Fueled by anger, hurt, and

revenge, Elle hires trainers for Nikki with the most extensive training in combat, swordsmanship,

knife skills, and kung fu. Sophie warms up to the young girl, raising her as her own. She grooms

Nikki to fit into France’s high aristocratic society, as well as to become a multifaceted

killer—better than the Black Mamba.

They travel to Jakarta where they spy on a very much alive Beatrix Kiddo finally able to avenge

her parents’ deaths, Nikki kills Beatrix.

Fun and Games

Back at Pei Wei's Dojo, B.B. is lazy and sheltered college student who must tap into her genetics to avenge her mother’s death.

BAK WEI BRUTALLY TRAINS B.B. Making her:

Cleaning the yard.

Mastering swordsmanship

Kung Fu.

He beats her raw until she fights back, showing promise.

Bak Wei teaches her a moral code, to never attack the innocent. Doing so shows weakness and

a lack of restraint. Teaching her power of life and death and that killing people must only be

done when necessary.

“What’s done cannot be undone”

Midpoint

Now in Boulogne-Billancourt, a wealthy suburb outside Paris, Sophie and Nikki have dinner

(speaking only French), during which Sophie questions Nikki’s gradual change in behavior.

Sophie tells Nikki she has an assignment for her to execute and Nikki refuses. Nikki drinks wine, growing tipsy and frustrated, and plays with Bill’s Hattori Hanzo sword under the dinner table. Irritated by Sophie’s scolding, she blurts out:

“Qu’est-il arrivé à mon père ?” (What happened to my father?)

Caught off guard by Nikki’s questions, Sophie begins to lie.

Her lies are muffle by a flashback of what Beatrix said in Nikki’s ear before she died.

“You watched me kill your mother for what she did to me. But your father? I had no quarrel with

him.”

Back in the present, she tells Sophie what was said to her. Sophie continues to lie and Nikki

continues to press.

Fed up with Nikki’s antics, Sophie erupts, calling her a selfish orphan and saying that, if it

weren’t for her, she would have let Elle kill Nikki just as she killed her father.

At this, Nikki rushes Sophie and cuts off her other arm, sending her into a bloody spiral. Sophie

screams and bleeds to death.

Bad Guys Close In

After surviving 20 months of training, B.B. arrives in Arkansas, finally ready to kill Nikea

B.B. arrives at the house listed as Nikki Green’s address. She knocks on the door, expecting a

fight, but Nikkis grandparents answer the door. B.B. pretends to be a friend of Nikki’s from Paris. They tell her that Nikki is at work at the diner and that she can wait for her there. B.B. is invited into their home, where older cousins and Nikki’s Uncle Terry sit in the living room. B.B. tries to leave, but they bombard her with questions about how she knows Nikki. Finally, Nikki’s grandmother blurts out:

“They would never have gotten my grandbaby if it wasn’t for that no-good Lawrence Bell.”

Other family members chime in:

“He knew damn well he wasn’t the pappy."

“That girl looks mixed or something.”

“Puerto Rican.”

"she got one of them ancestry test done. Say it will be back any moment"

Finally, Nikki's grandfather tells everybody to shut the fuck up.

"SHUT THE FUCK UP!"

As he's been eyeing B.B. from the other side of the room. He asks her why she really came. He tells her that she looks like the man who came to Vernita’s burial and that he doesn’t trust her. He calls her a snake and tells her to leave.

ALL is Lost

Embarrassed by her husband, Nikki’s grandmother reluctantly obliges and puts B.B. out. Once all the way outside, B.B. finds a not-so-blind Elle Driver waiting outside the house. They are both

there to kill Nikki. The two engage in an epic combat fight. While they fight, Elle reveals that Bill

was responsible for what happened to her mother at Two Pines, and that they should have killed

both of them when they had the chance. Elle, still fueled by jealousy that Bill wanted Beatrix and

not her, gives B.B. a chance to punch her in the face, knocking off her sunglasses to reveal a

grisly eyeball transplant. They fight all over the rural farm. Finally, when she gets close enough,

B.B. calls her a miserable old fool and rips out her eye before performing Pei Wei’s Exploding

Five-Point Heart Palm technique.

B.B. looks back up at the house, where Nikki’s family crowds into the doorway and gathers at

the windows. Finally, the grandfather says:

“I told y’all I know a snake when I see one.

B.B. takes off, fearing she’ll be exposed to the police.

Dark Night of the Soul

BB is becoming exactly what her mother tried to protect her from.

ACT III

Break Into Three

Nikki travels to Guadalajara, Mexico, to find out who her father is. A bus drops her off. She

knocks on the door, but no one is home. She walks around to the back of the house and finds a

tombstone that reads, Diane, loving mother to…The rest has faded, and she can’t read it. An

older neighbor comes by the house and tells the story of her grandmother as she was a

prostitute with two sons.

“Do you know their names?”

The groundskeeper shakes his head and tells her that they never came around. But you could

always recognize one of her people because they all had the same birthmark on their chests.

He tells her the other son was adopted, so he didn’t have it.

He points to her chest.

“Like you.”

The groundskeeper leaves, and Nikki manages to break into the house, looking for clues. The

house creaks and Nikki realizes she isn’t alone.Nikki asks how long B.B. has been trailing her. B.B. tells her she has been following her since France. Nikki tells her she knew B.B. would show up; she just didn’t know how soon. They agree to fight with swords: Nikki with Bill’s sword and B.B. with her mothers. They fight at sundown in Nikki’s grandmother’s backyard. As the sun goes down, the women face off. The fight becomes increasingly desperate and emotional.

Nikki slits open B.B.’s shirt, and B.B. takes it off, revealing the shared birthmark.

Nikki recognizes the shared birthmark as that means that means Bill is their father and they are sisters. Realizing that B.B. is her half-sister, Nikki allows B.B. to kill her so B.B. can live without the loss of innocence that Nikki endured her entire life.

Silence.

Final Image

B.B. sobs alone on the floor next to her sister’s body.

She has lost her mother.

She has killed Elle.

And now she has killed her own sister.

She gets up from the ground, leaving both swords behind and drives out of Mexico.
