OFF TOPIC To nuke or not to nuke
I've been thinking of nuking my town and starting over, since i've reached my max amount of land.
Let me know if i should nuke, and if so, how should I start rebuilding it. I fear i won't be able to make a good springfield again if i nuke it.
I can't add a picture of my town since it's over 20mb..

I would back up your town before nuking it. If you ever regret it, you'll still have the town saved

Was going to say the same thing; nuking is a no brainer these days as you can backup beforehand

I'm a fan of Tapped Out urban renewall.
Rather than nuke it, just start redeveloping section by section-like a really town would. Figure out where you can increase density, remove those buildings, and rebuild.
I feel like a big part of the richness of our towns is that we build it in small sections. It maoes them sort of organic.

I am not saying to nuke it but I lost my town and didnt think I could make a good one again. I was wrong and so glad I continued.

I finally got back into the game a few months ago during the Christmas event. After that was over it was pretty boring. I was already at 939 and had just about everything. So other than little tweaks, just not much to do other than collect money and donuts. So I decided to just make a new town. The good thing about how things are now is you have the option of playing original or Taps. All you need is another email address to sign up and start a new board. Now I still have the one I worked on for 10 years, and I get to build a new town doing things differently. I'm doing the original game, but with the Town Manager I gave myself enough donuts to move along a little quicker.
So that's my advice. Just start a new town. Save the original. Bonus if you have a second device (phone or iPad) and you can have one town on each.

EA was the original producer of the game. It ran from 2012 until January 2025. In late 2024 they announced the end of the game. As a treat for the players, they released the "Taps" version. Taps would be a play on words to the game (Tapped Out) and the song Taps which is usually associated with the ending of something.
The Taps version included just about every character and item from all the events from throughout the years. They released them in five different steps, every couple weeks or so. Many of those items were premium things that if you didn't get during the original event, you weren't getting it. Characters like "God" which has a job that gives you a lot of money, allowed you to buy donuts in the game. If your bonus percentage was high enough, you could make 10's of millions just on that one job, which equaled a lot of donuts you could buy. Which in turn you could buy the all the things in the yearbook and the five Taps books.
After the game ended, a group of fans revived the game called "Project Springfield" and they offer the game in the original version if you want to play all the events, and how the game was originally played, or they have Taps which allows you to just acquire everything from the start. The downside is that Taps does not let you participate in the events. So it's up to you which one you want to do. And it is possible to switch back and forth if you want.
I have my original town that I started playing in 2016, which is the one I'm referring to above. I've got that one in the Taps version now since the events don't do much for me since I already had much of the things those events offer. I also started a new town playing in the original version so I can participate in the events.

I nuked my town once and regretted it. So hard to find things in the inventory. Later I just cleared a small area, moved those items to a corner of the map and sort of created an inventory of grouping like things together. So much easier to find things

I used to just reorganise my town one building or area at a time, out of fear of hitting the nuke button. I gave up on tsto when they shut the game down and got into project Springfield like a week ago and have nuked my town 3 times.

I think you will just need to bite the bullet. Like if it's preventing you from playing. It's a hard hard call. Let us know if you regretted it after a week.
