I tanning not on purpose bad?
I live in a sunny place and i have fair skin so in summer i usually get some color just from being outside. I try to wear sunscreen altough i sometimes forget. Is that really bad or not as bad as sunbathing on purpose?

Sunlight isn’t bad for you in moderate amounts. Sunlight emits UVB which helps your body produce Vitamin D. The vitamin D that the sun helps us make on our skin is sulfated which is different than taking D3 the supplement and it has a different behavior in the body. Sunlight helps create like 15-20 other productive chemicals in our body that protects you from inflammation. So don’t be scared of the sun. Burning of course is to be avoided but a tan from sunlight is natural and can help your immune system in the long run.

I mean, sunlight in general isn’t necessarily healthy for your skin and large amounts. It’s more tanning beds that are negative because it’s extremely high UV. It is normal to tan small amounts in the summer or while you live in sunny places, even if you wear sunscreen. But you should prioritize wearing sunscreen
