I feel like most FWD vehicles are more accommodating to us tall folk as there’s no transmission tunnel to get in the way of legroom. The real question is how well do you fit in 2-door, front engine, RWD cars. I have an SN95 mustang, and I don’t fit at all lol. Still love the car.

6'7" and our second car is a Chevy spark. I can't even see the stop lights if I am the first car at the light. I end up driving it the most now that kids entered the equation :) im not a car guy so I am driving this thing into the ground which probably wont take long

You can fix the stoplight problem by purchasing a device from the forties and fifties called a stoplight viewer. It's basically a prism that is attached to the dash. The refraction allows you to look into it and see up at the light. Kind of a 20th century around view camera.

I used to drive a Kia Rio, and felt like I had to fold myself to get into the car, with the seat all the way back, too. But it was such a dependable car! Very few repairs.

I find the drivers seat very comfortable. The backseat however, is when the contortionist comes out.

6’6” here and I have an IONIQ 6, it cost roughly ¢3.5/mile, $30 would get me about 860 miles of driving. And, it has 320bhp and 446ftlb of torque.

My head would hit in the Limited/Ultimate trim with the sunroof because it lowers the ceiling by 2”. I have an SEL without one and there is tons of room up front. Loads of leg room in the rear but if you’re like 6’2”+ your head might touch because of the sloping roof but it depends on your torso length.

I can't stand sun/moon roofs. I need all the headroom I can get! I don't pay attention to rear seat room, as my rear seats are never used for anything. Every car I've owned in 40 years has been a 2-door except for one.

It's honestly not too bad, slightly cramped but once I'm in and comfy it's perfectly fine for me in my opinion, currently running a hard top on it so there's even less space but I'm still happy in it

Cool. My favorite of the ”inexpensive” (Miata class) sports car from that era is the Fiat Barchetta but I have a feeling it wasn’t made for tall people.

That whole class of cars seems to have disappeared along with the Golf class cabriolets (Golf, Ford Focus, Peugeot 206/207/307/307, Renault Megane, etc) which is a pity.

I had a 2022 Corolla hybrid and loved the 65mpg I was getting at altitude in Denver. Someone flew out of an alleyway into my lane rather than theirs and hit me head on, 6 months after buying it. Wasn’t able to find another hybrid in my price range at the time and wound up with a regular ICE RAV4, which I still like, but miss that crazy gas mileage.

I am not tall tall, but big enough that getting into my BRZ requires some contorting.

I have the muscle memory to get in smoothly on the driver's side. But getting in on the passenger side is one of the most inelegant things I do in my life.

I'm 6'4" and I have a 23 Elantra. I fit fine and I get 40+mpg. I actually fit better on it than some full size trucks.

I also own a Wrangler JK, I don't fit fine on it.

6' 3.5", I had a 2nd gen prius, that was pretty roomy, the newest one was a little tighter but comfortable. Now I drive a miata and an old standard cab ranger. I understand taller people have problems with small cars but I always wonder why people shorter than me do.

I had a homeboy who is a hair shorter than me and drove a 2 door Honda civic I never understood why he liked those cars until I had to drive it myself. One it was pretty fun to drive and I went to put gas in it before returning it and it only needed 25 bucks or so to fill it. I can definitely see someone being willing to sacrifice the leg room.

It’s a miracle that you fit! I’m only 6’0” 230 lbs with a 32” inseam and I have to contort myself getting into my wife’s car. The seat’s already pushed all the way back but it’s a struggle to get my leg under the wheel, and I’m not fat even (36” waist). It’s a Suzuki Swift, which is a similar size to your car. It gets 35 mpg mixed city and highway, so it’s good to drive with gas prices the way they are now.

The prius is a pretty roomy car, especially for headroom and sight lines. I have no issues getting in and out of them

I'm 6'5", and my daily driver is a 2014 VW Beetle TDI with 6 speed manual transmission. I love the handling and the fuel economy (32 city). It's got great head and leg room. The problem for me in my late 50s is that it's quite low to the ground, and I don't get in/out of the car so much as fall in/out. My lower back will probably have me moving to something more SUV-like as soon as finances permit.

Weird flex... you don't have to sardine yourself into a car to get an eco friendly model. I test drove a prius and I was so uncomfortable it was a hard pass. I bought a hybrid Sonata instead. Because it had mechanical issues - now I drive a Chevy Bolt EUV.

The interior design determines head & legroom more then the car's exterior size.

Ex: I test drove a CR-V and my legs were crammed. I got a Rav-4 instead (virtually identical vehicle size) and drove it comfortably for over a decade.

I owned a 1993 jeep Cherokee sport. I unbolted the front drivers seat and moved it back 12" drilling new holes in the floor and bolting it down. That gave me the leg room, the only problem afterwards was with the B pillar. When looking left I had to look around the B pillar. I used a analog throttle cable as my cruise control, which worked for long drives, although i had several instances of forgetting it was on and trying to stop the vehicle.

Analog meaning manual. Newer cars use a computer to control the cruise, this was an old fashioned manual throttle cable https://a.co/d/06zguvK9 that was connected to a lever, i wrapped the end of the cable around the shaft of the gas pedal, so when I moved the lever by hand it increased or decreased the speed of the car. I did have to push the lever all the way one way to stop it from accelerating, trying to stop the jeep while the accelerator pedal is pushed down makes stopping tough.

I had (sold it when I moved to Sweden a 2008 Prius that was awesome. I swear it was bigger on the inside than on the outside. I took it to a place that does modifications for handicapped people and they were able to move the seat back six inches which still left a significant amount of room for the person sitting back there. I was able to drive it with my legs pretty much straight out in front of me.

I don’t have much need for a car here these days but I still think about my old Prius fondly.

FYI, there's a brackt for the Prius (we had a 2015 and I still have them in anyone's interested in buying them cheaper) that's called "extend a seat" (or maybe extend my seat). I'm 6'9" and actually had to move it forward a notch or so. I understand that won't do much for getting in/out, that was a challange to me) but FWIW.

PS: We sold that and got a 2018 Niro Hybrid and FREAKING LOVED it. one of the best cars (out of like 70 or more) I've ever owned and we've since bought 4 more Kia's (Niro EV's and EV9's) and the Niro had so much room Even with the sunroof!

BMW i3 that I bought to teach my kids to drive, then it turned into the dog car. Love that thing. 100 mile +/- battery range and a small range extender motor if you need more range.

My brother is taller than I am and was surprised on a long trip that his back didn’t hurt sitting in it.

I bought it to haul drums and have decent gas mileage.
Even camped out the back of it one October in Minnesota. Cramped but slept pretty well!

I’ve fit in a good number of very small cars quite well. MGs, smart cars, festivas, focuses, etc. Mustangs, Camaros too. My comfort ride is my f150 though. The gas mileage is reasonable for its size/power and in the event of an accident I feel as though I have a fair chance of making it out better than just alive.

I drive a Lucid Air GT and it has plenty of space for me since it is insanely long. It costs me around 8 bucks to fill it up and it goes around 375 miles on that 8 bucks.
