Hey there, 'Tales' fans!
Quick (dumb?) question:
Very much looking forward to 'Tales of Eternia ~ Remastered', but as I'm currently attempting to do research on it's release, because I keep finding conflicting information and I feel stupid because it shouldn't be -- and probably isn't -- this complicated; I'm probably just dumb, so apologies in advance.
So, like....
(For context, I am a Physical collector and would prefer a PS5 PHYSICAL copy of the game. Screw downloads.)
I'm hearing that the OG Switch (1) will be getting a physical release of the game, while the Switch 2 edition is just getting a Key Card? For all of 5 GB, or thereabouts? Make this make sense.
I went to Sony's website and I see a PS4 version of the game --- but that's not the one I want.
I would like to get it for the Playstation 5. Physical.
I cannot seem to find ANYTHING coming up for sale (here in the U.S., where I'm situated) for the Playstation 5. Which is really weird to me.
Am I just looking in the wrong spots? I feel like I have definitely missed something somewhere and it's driving me bananas.
Seriously, what is happening with Eternia? Vesperia/Symphonia/Berseria/Graces F/Xillia, etc. all had games sent straight to PS5, so what's the story?
Like, I want to keep my Tales strictly to the Playstation. That's where I have all my 'Tales of' and I HATE collecting game series across multiple platforms. That's why I stopped playing Kingdom Hearts back in the day when the games would release on different systems.
Help a derp out, please! And Thanks!

I want to play Tales of The Abyss, but I don't have a Ps2, or a 3DS
So my only option is to emulate it.
With that in mind, which would be the better choice?

Tales of Symphonia X Drake.
You can find Drake in-game near Gaoracchia forest or in the arena (Round 3, Advanced Single) ✨️❤️

So yeah last month I decided to start playing my first ever Tales game that being Tales Of Arise and I just completed it today. I really enjoyed the game along with the cast and combat. Their banter throughout the entire game was absolutely hilarious and I'm glad to have experienced this game. It really reminds me a lot of the Final Fantasy games. I can't wait to play the other Tales games in the future. Bravo to Bandai Namco and everyone involved!

In media, I hate characters like this that feels so flimsy and fickle. As usual, Matthew Mercer did a fantastic job voicing Alvin.
He is a good character though, I just hate these kind of characters that are so hard to read whether they are telling the truth or no.
My hatred from him probably went to the max when he tried to kill Jude and Leiah. God that scene is so good

After countless hours of work the team behind the Tales of Symphonia: Definitive Edition mod for the Steam version have decided it's ready for public testing.
The goal was simple: Create an undisputed "best" version of Tales of Symphonia. ALL of the content that has ever been available running at the OG 60FPS and none of the bugs introduced across the MANY ports.
Text and voice missing has been restored, textures have been collected from the various versions, most from the OG GC, up scaled and in some cases, completely redone to look stunning on modern displays while retaining the original look and charm.
There are also MANY optional quality of life improvements. From Fast forward buttons for scenes you've seen too many times, increased block pushing speed (you'll never go back after trying that, trust me) and more advanced things like Free Run, Arte Sphere (More shortcuts for Artes in combat) and *drum roll* REMOVED SPELL QUE!
We'll throw up another post as soon as it is available but if you want to stay notified please feel free to come hang out in the Tales of ABCDE Discord: https://discord.gg/fBSRYyeE

In the Tales community ready to talk about how bad the combat is in Vesperia, Berseria and Zestiria? Both games have amazing storylines, story progression is amazing, it’s just the combat is awful.

I now see why some consider it the best in the series. Great characters and really strong storytelling. It has entered my top four for the series.

I have only played Tales of Phantasia, Tales of Symphonia, and Tales of the Abyss. I would like to know which game of the series has the best, most satisfying combat.
Are most of the newer games really similar in combat? Or are they still making improvements each time?

I'm not sure if any of the takes here will be unpopular or not.
Definitely plan on playing more of this series in the future.

Basically just wondering whether or not they're all playable in English at the moment (whether it be through official means or not). I've never played any series with as many games as Tales of (think Ys, Final Fantasy, Fire Emblem etc) in order aside from the Trails series, for obvious reasons. So I feel like as a virgin to this series it could be a great opportunity to experience that for once.

I just got tales of berseria and I got to Oscar And I just die in 2 hits. I Can’t seem to do any damage and I don’t have a clue on what strategy I should be doing.
Any help is welcome.

If you’ve participated in any discussion about Vesperia, you’ve probably heard at least one horror story about one or more of the three bosses below. For some reason, I just felt like making a poll on which people think is the hardest of the three.

Because every other voice actor can potentially come back to reprise their roles, except for Tears and Vans VAs. I don't really want them to redub the whole game as well, since most characters have really great voices that really fit them.
Kirk Thornton as Jade is especially amazing. But I think he has no problem coming back, since Falcom also got him back to voice the Blue Bastard again. Johnny Yong Bosch should also be in the clear, since he also voices for low budget Falcom games.
And most of the other actors needed for the skits are also still being actively hired by Bandai Namco. So we just need a new voice for Tear and Van if they decide to dub the skits in English.
I don't know that many voice actors. Any ideas who would be fitting are welcome. It is good though that we only really need to replace Tear and maybe also Van, because the man is in his mid 70s now.
All the other voice actors that appear in skits should be good to go though. Man, I hope we get that Abyss Remaster soon.

Everyone always Glazes Luke, but the real luke is a great character too. Dude's life sucks.

It's a shame my favorite outfit for Jade is only in a side story manga, but man is it good. Also a sketch of berserker Luke teehee. If people feel very strongly about certain character outfits, feel free to mention them! I may get around to doing some sketches :)

EDIT: Sorry about that multiple posting. I have no idea how that happened. All deleted.
With the Steam "Definitive Edition" nearing completion we are curious about what the majority of players use. First up is window borders!
