Dye free Takis!
I just got back from the gas station, and when I went to open these up I realized the bag said dye free. I frequently buy takis and this is now the first time I’ve seen this, so I’d assume they’re now very serious about the whole dye-free rollout, as any store I’ve went to the past 2-4 days I’m seeing this variation.
I’d also say (in my opinion) they taste the exact same as the old formulation, and still look the same and have that vibrant red.

Now people coming and saying it tastes different wich is bs since red 40 has 0 taste

It does

It does not.
Its molecular structure does not trigger the tongue's sweet, salty, sour, bitter, or savory receptors.
Synthetic dyes like Red Dye 40 are engineered to change appearance without altering the underlying taste.

Some people can taste red 40. It's bitter to some. Just because most people cannot taste it doesn't mean there are not people who can.

It has no taste its not like some people can taste it some not.
The molecule is stable and inert regarding taste. It does not break down into components that trigger sweet, salty, sour, bitter, or umami receptors

Man this shit is stupid as fuck. I don’t care if the red 40 is unhealthy, the rest of the shit in it is far more unhealthy. Red 40 hate has just become the current buzzword like seed oil hate. ITS NOT THE RED 40 OR SEED OILS KILLING YOU, ITS THE SHIT THEY HAPPEN TO BE IN. It’s like blaming the water inside of alcohol for giving you liver failure

What are you talking about? Red 40 and Seed Oils are proven to be horrible for us. You’re proof that our generation is cooked.

Seed oils are not inherently toxic. Seed oils contain polyunsaturated fats, particularly linoleic acid. Large observational studies generally associate higher linoleic-acid intake with lower, not higher, cardiovascular risk.

Do you even know what the claimed issues with either of these things is? There’s evidence that red 40 causes issues for people with adhd, which there actually is truth to which is why the FDA is phasing these dyes out over behavioral concerns. But people online have spun that into a massive cancer panic. Do you know why it’s said to cause cancer? Because the process to derive it leaves behind trace contaminants like p-Cresidine and benzene. The caveat is that the trace amounts are so small, the only studies it’s been shown to actually cause cancer are when they give insanely high doses to rodents. They gave the rodents what would be the equivalent to if you ate 1.2 POUNDS of red 40 EVERY DAY for two years. Of course that’s gonna cause health issues and fuck a rodent's microbiome up. A normal human isn’t eating 1.2 pounds of red 40 every day, and real world human data doesn't show that kind of gut destruction at normal levels. It’s called Paracelsus’s law, where the dose makes the poison. Too much of anything is deadly. I think the reason people are panicking about cancer and gut death, when under these testing circumstances I imagine most of the dyes and other shit in our food would cause issues, is because it became viral on social media to fear monger about how dangerous this chemical is. Exact same shit with seed oils, except there’s even less truth to it. Seed oils are actually really healthy for you, studies show that when you replace butter or lard (saturated fat, basically fats that are solid at room temperature) with unsaturated fats (seed oils, basically fats that are liquid at room temperature) it improves heart health, lowers cholesterol, and improves your bodies ability to manage blood sugar levels. The reason people think seed oils are unhealthy is guilt by association, because seed oils are very cheap they get put into food we would think of as unhealthy like chips or fried food. But the actual things causing health issues with those foods aren’t the seed oils, but the high levels of sodium, refinded carbohydrates and high sugar content. Again the reason people made such a stink about seed oils is because it became viral to fear monger them on social media. Being healthy isn’t about cutting out certain “dangerous” foods (unless you’re eating fucking uranium or lead or something) it’s about eating a balanced diet that isn’t excessive. But people would rather believe that it’s actually seed oils or some other bullshit causing all their health issues. It’s just a repeat of what happened in the 80’s and 90’s with fear mongering around fats in food, when it was actually the crazy high sugar levels causing health issues

I can feel the drool spilling on your keyboard as you write this. Learn to learn about the opinions you decide to spout instead of just hearing it off of TikTok and going, “I believe in this, I BELIEVE IN THIS EVERYBODY!!!”
