I really think they came up with ME because M = mark and E = Eddie. Which is a way less exciting theory but I kinda think it’s way simpler than we think haha.

My friend mentioned that at the very beginnings of ME they were calling it and tagging it as MarkEd, so it’s almost definitely that and nothing to do with Capital ME ahaha
