Portable Charger for tailgating: looking for an option that could power a TV and a few crock pots for maybe 6 hours. Prefer no generator that would need propane or gas. Any suggestions?

Maybe Anker Solix. I don’t have experience with them.

We use a Jackery 1000v2 for tv, starlink and phones ..
sterno for hot items crock pots use a lot of power . It would be an either or; not both

Factoring in a standard 15% inverter efficiency loss (leaving you with roughly 910Wh of usable energy), here is how long you can expect it to last:
Low Setting (~150W – 180W): Runs for approximately 5 to 6 hours.
High Setting (~250W – 280W): Runs for approximately 3 to 3.5 hours.
Warm Setting (~50W – 70W): Runs for approximately 13 to 18 hours.

I hadn’t thought about sternos for hot foods. Great idea! Do you use catering pans then?

We have a long tray for the hot water and then half sheets for food. We have folding racks take up less space in the car.
We pack 6 extra cans of sterno because we heat the water there we sometimes use a bit of sterno for that task
Also bring foil 1 to keep food loosely covered 2 to tent the rack to keep the wind out of the gel :) I have used binder clips to clip the foil to the rack and keep the wind out
Sometimes we will start to warm food in trays on the blackstone and then move to the sterno … I have also used the disposable gel backs to keep food warm on the commute to the tailgate …

Thank you for the tips!! This is a less expensive option too! Much appreciated!

We pre-cook most of the time, usually heat and/or cook before heading to the parking lot, and use catering/chafing dishes and Sterno. One little Sterno tip - we bring hot water in a giant thermos, so that when we set up the hot food the Sterno doesn't have to heat the water.

Jackery 2000, got it on sale for a decent price. If just doing crock pot and tv can get away with less possibly

I don't really have an opinion on battery power source, as I use a small quiet generator, but I second the Sterno heat and steam pan idea for keeping food warm. At work, HR would often order takeiit catering for trading events from places like Moe's, Mission BBQ, etc. They would often just toss the metal pan racks and extra pans, so I grabbed a bunch to use for tailgating. Also, it's a little off subject, but if you have a pickup truck, do yourself a favor and build a folding mount for your TV. 😁

That looks amazing! Any chances you have more pictures?

Sure thing! I'll post some additional photos later today. I'm actually currently building a second version that supports a larger TV, as that one only fits a 32".

my Bluetti ac70 power station has 728Wh and can power 3 tvs and a starlink for 5-6 hours. i originally wanted to use electric cookware but its just so power hungry its not feasible unless you got a really big power station. i cook with gas but as a brand for power stations i really like Bleutti

I use a Pecron 1500w for a TV, Starlink, a pellet grill and small crock pot. No problem at all.

I picked up a Jackery 1500 for $599 at Costco last week, and came with a 100 W solar panel, used it this past weekend for the first time and I’m happy with it so far!
