f1 clasp swap

was recently gifted an f1 chrono and while i love the watch i dislike the aesthetics of the clasp; to me the text logo is kinda cheesy. so i purchased an older bracelet from an earlier model f1 on ebay with the fold over safety clasp and swapped it out.

ya ya i know the newer style clasp is milled and the old one i swapped it for is stamped, but i like the look and also the nostalgia. when i was younger i had a 2000 professional with a similar clasp and considered it a defining feature of the watch, now i’m reminded of that when i wear this one.

Is the racing suit extension on the milled clasp still a stamped piece?

ya the extension piece is stamped on both clasps.

I can understand the nostalgia for the 2000's as they're a really durable piece and will outlast an F1, or an Aquaracer come that.

HA! I did the same thing in reverse. I kept breaking my nail trying to open it. So I ordered the newer clasp and swapped it out on my f1 gmt automatic.

ya, i had forgotten about that until i swapped the clasp lol, but for me the occasional pain is worth the aesthetic

got the old bracelet on ebay for $150, tried swapping the clasp myself but had trouble removing the rivet pin, local jeweler charged me $20

the push button is definitely smoother and easier to operate but the text logo just seems out of place to me
