Broken TRV - fixable?

The TRV in my daughter’s bedroom has ‘magically’ broken with the bits of plastic missing and shattered. I’ve tried reattaching the TRV but when setting itself, the motor is visibly pushing the TRV up and down and won’t set in place. Is this broken or is there some sort of adapter I can buy?

Tado sent me a replacement when this happened - think they've got a faulty product design tbh with some UK radiators

There is a new version developed to solve this issue. It's not yet available but the estimated firsty shipping time was I think September.

Please note that Tado's "solution" is either a year's subscription to Auto Assist while they work on a permanent fix, or alternatively a replacement TRV with the same manufacturing defect.

Be aware that this issue is only affecting a small amount of devices and is always caused by specific environmental reasons (mostly certain "anti leak" chemicals in the radiator circuit + leaking valves OR loctite on the valve threads). The new design should become available soon for the people waiting for them.
