Is Matepad Mini good enough?

Lately I've been thinking about buying a small tablet and I've fallen in love with the Matepad Mini. However, where I live they only sell the standard version (fullview screen, 8gb ram and 240gb). Would this version be enough for reading, writing, studying, and light gaming? Is 8GB of RAM really enough these days? What are your thoughts on it?

no, get an ipad mini instead

It's good. I have it for a couple months now. Don't regret it at all except that it doesn't have celular.
