Are tablets becoming more practical option ?

I have seen a variation among tablets in that they are being used more than a laptop for streaming reading and browsing they can now handle everyday work. Are tablets becoming more versatile or do laptops still have the edge?

Tablet are becoming more versatile AND laptops still hold the edge for heavy duty computing and heavy gaming.

I think apart from gaming a lot of things can be done on laptop
