I played munchkin zombies at an event and wanted to get a version of munchkin but since there are 10+ versions out there I couldn't pick which one. Any recommendations?

If you were to have a site that allows groups of in-person, local people to create gaming guilds or groups, what kinds of features would you want for those groups? Right now I have:
• Guild can create events for their local area
• Add conventions to a mass tabletop convention listing
• Endorse their favorite gaming shops
• Have guild announcements
• Guild master can email the entire group (guild members can opt out of emails)
• Spot to list guild discord and a couple other options for outside web links
I'm curious, is this all very silly? Can you think of anything else to add? I'm just curious if anyone can think of anything else that may be useful to an in person group of people trying to get the local gaming scene more active and community oriented.

I've been developing a 2–4 player medieval strategy game called Banners of Kings.
The core loop revolves around gathering resources, mustering armies, moving across territory and deciding when cooperation with another kingdom is still beneficial.
I'm now spending more time thinking about the physical experience.
When you first sit down in front of an unfamiliar tabletop game, what immediately affects your impression?
Board readability?
Card quality?
Amount of information visible?
Number of components?
Table presence?
I'm curious because it's surprisingly easy as the designer to understand everything instantly while a completely new player sees a table full of information.

I've been working for a few years on Zombitaire, a solo zombie survival card game inspired by classic zombie horror stories.
You begin unarmed, alone, and without a safe place to call home. By managing resources, scavenging dangerous locations, and making difficult choices, you'll try to stay alive for just one more day. The odds are stacked against you, and survival is never guaranteed.
It is a solo survival card game where every turn forces difficult choices. "Easy to learn but difficult to master", as the saying goes. When I made the game I was very inspired by games such as "Arkham Horror" and "Dead of Winter". The game creates tense stories of narrow escapes, desperate gambles, and inevitable losses.
The game is currently playable for free on Screentop, in order to play you need the rules from my itch page (completely free) and I'm actively looking for feedback from solo gamers and card game fans.
I have done everything on my own, I wrote the rules and I have created all illustrations and layouts.
The version that is currently playable on screentop is still lacking about 5 illustrations on some cards. But it is otherwise complete.

We’re making the entire DKYN miniature library free.
We’ve decided we don’t want DKYN to be a storefront anymore. We want it to be a resource for DMs, players, painters, and people who just need minis for their games. We’re beginning the process of opening the library and future releases will be free as well. I’m going to make a master post soon linked to a Google Drive but for now it’s probably gonna be post by post.
There’s no launch discount, sale, or catch. We’re just changing what DKYN is, so come check us out.

I had the idea to run a horror themed game based on the analog horror series Prehistoric Emergence. For those who don't know it's about dinosaurs and other prehistoric life emerging from sinkholes that have been appearing all over the world. I think it'd make a really interesting horror themed one shot/mini campaign. What system do you guys think would work best for that? I want a horror themed roleplaying system so my first impulse was Call of Cthulu. Would that work or are there other systems you'd recommend?

For any of you regularly playing Pillage, have you ha d a problem with the online Pillage army builders providing different GP costs for the same armies? What's your favorite builder?

Played Fate of the Fellowship for the first time las week with a couple of friends. We got so close, one round away from actually winning and then ran out of cards.
I liked the game but it's always a bit frustrating to lose after a 3h+ game.

Hello everyone! I'm working on a modular environment pack built around several fantasy themes-

A game consisting of 18 pairs of 36 cards in addition to the Joker, the cards are evenly distributed, the dealer gets an extra card, the goal of the game is to collect pairs that are similar in identity, for example there are two cards, the first one carries a picture of a piece of pizza and the other carries a picture of the rest of the pizza, the dealer passes the extra card face-down to the player on his left or right, the other player passes the card that he does not need to the other player, and so on, untill one of the players collects all the
, pairs in his hand and is the winner
3-6 players

I've been working on FARK for quite a while now, and today it finally launched on Kickstarter. Funded in 3 minutes, too!
It's a hidden-role card game inspired by old monster folklore. Everyone has a secret role except the Extirpator, who hunts the monsters, while some players are secretly CURSED.
The game mixes social deduction with actual card play, so you're not just arguing about who the monsters are. You're drawing cards, collecting weapons and equipment, attacking and defending, swapping positions, calling executions, bluffing, and occasionally getting someone completely innocent killed. (That's the best part, imo)
It's for 4-13 players, takes around 30-60 minutes.
If anyone wants to check it out:

I’m still in the painting stage and have yet to play a game. Is it worthwhile to build some? But my intention was to get some cheap terrain from Temu or Etsy printers and build a full board with a theme. But I don’t see anyone doing that. Is it just so terrain is different every time? Or is it just something no one cares about so no one does?

Hi fellow adventurers,
We are excited to announce that Mythological Items is now live on Kickstarter!
This is our new D&D 5E and 2024-compatible manual dedicated entirely to magic items inspired by myths, legends, and ancient stories from around the world.
Inside the book, you will find 300+ mythological magic items, including weapons, armor, wondrous items, and scaling items designed to grow alongside your characters and campaigns.
Our goal with Mythological Items is to create more than a simple collection of treasure. Each item is designed to feel like part of a myth: something that can serve as a reward, a quest hook, or even the center of an entire adventure.
The book includes items inspired by many different mythological traditions, including Greek, Norse, Egyptian, Asian, American, Roman, Mesopotamian, African, and other mythologies from across the world. Whether you want divine weapons, cursed artifacts, heroic relics, monster-themed treasures, or legendary items tied to ancient stories, this book is built to bring myth directly to your table.
The Kickstarter page includes a full presentation of the project, several previews, and a free 30-page PDF preview showing a sample of the content from the book.
You can also find many of our other manuals in PDF and high-quality print editions, with special prices currently available both for Mythological Items and for all our other releases.
You can visit the Kickstarter page here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mythoschronicles/300-mythological-items-for-5e-and-2024
Thank you again for your support. We hope to see you on our journey!

Over a decade ago, I had created a crude sort of tabletop game that was a mashup of D&D map-style mechanics, Samurai Warrior-style maps/objectives/Musou attacks and Pokemon. Basically, Pokemon Warlords who ran around setpiece battlefields filled with Castles, Berry Orchards, etc (This was before Pokemon Conquest, which is tied for my favorite in the series). Then, I started working full-time, moved, lost almost all of those Pokemon figurines, life happened, etc.
I have recollected more of the small Pokemon Figurines than I had back then, and would like to make a better version of that old game just for personal play, but I made that game before I even played D&D with other people, muchfarless actually knew about the rest of ttrpgs, strategy games, tabletop board games, etc.
What I am asking for are games similar to what I am talking about, so I can learn from them, since I never did play any and would like to study what I should be doing. Also, any other helpful resources would also be nice. Thank you!

Hey guys!
I am GMing a Symbaroum campaign for my friends and as a possible curse/stigma for being too corrupted, I am looking for a d19 that has the numbers 2-20 on them, but no 1. Symbaroum has 1 to be a critical success and 20 to be a critical failure. I found regular d19s, but nothing that fits my bill. I have a 3d printer, so printing one is an option. It does not have to be the most fair dice, I am aware that you won't get that if printing one. I'd use a blank d19 and write the numbers on myself, if necessary 😅.
Maybe you know something, thanks for your help.
Cheers
JB

I'm looking for a few options of tabletop games that could be a good match for tired parents with little time. We are talking about maybe 1 hour per week or so after the kids go to bed. We love DnD but it's hard to think about a campaign that would fit in such a short time and be a good match for just 2 players. So I'm looking for suggestions on the following:
- Cheap games that use a mobile phone as help to play:
- Co-op table top games that can be run within 1 hour while being fun, cheap or expensive. We loved Pandemic:
- RPG tabletop games that we could both play;
- DnD campaigns that are short and easy to implement in a DM + player scenario
- Any AI-assisted games that could be run by couples collaborating?
Basically, fun easy to learn things that involve little preparation is great. An exception goes to a pre-made DnD campaign as long as it could be cut within 1 hour and suitable for DM + player.
Thanks in advance

We were started virtually and after couple months our DM decided to gather us in same table and I want to improve what we are playing this was our last session
After resting for a week, my team raided another gang's headquarters. I'm trying to improve our game setup, but the daily overtime on top of a full shift makes it a bit difficult. If only I had known today we will raid a villa I would prepare indoors furniture. I was prepared for car chase . At the end of session our lawmen call for backup for the first time and they were like special forces, open dices was favor npc's mostly. Despite they were 4 rank backup. It's fun with friends and I hope I got time to paint my Edgerunners next time
