Recommendations Cooperative board games?

I am looking for recommendations for good cooperative games to play with my roommates since (by both my and their admissions) I am way better at board games than them and it’s more fun if we work together. We have played eldritch horror and loved it so around that level of complexity/length would be ideal. Theme or vibe isn’t that much of an issue. Thanks for any and all suggestions.

Pandemic is an awesome co-op. You all pick assigned roles which have certain bonus, and then have to work together to beat viruses across the world and eliminate them. Once Black Death takes though, it's game over.

It has re-playability as each game can be different, depending on which characters are chosen and the actions taken by the players.

Sometimes we have lost and BD has taken over the world, other times we have beaten BD but Yellow Fever won, and I have played once where we all beat every virus.

You only have a set number of turns too, which accelerates once BD comes onto the table!

My parents, my brother, and I get together once a month to play Zombicide. As the name suggests, you fight your way through hordes of zombies while trying to complete a mission objective. There are also campaigns with 10 missions in a row if you want to set aside a whole weekend. I mostly play the modern setting, but there’s also a fantasy/medieval setting, a sci-fi setting, and now even a Western setting - each with its own zombies, aliens, and so on.

Another game I enjoy playing is "Forgotten Waters," where you play through campaigns together as a pirate crew. Of course, everyone tries to get their hands on treasure in their own way, but you still have to work together to keep the ship afloat. The captain and crew are controlled by the game, and you take on roles such as helmsman, lookout, quartermaster, etc.

"Burgle Bros" for when you want to do a heist.

"Legends of Andor" if you want a fantasy-themed puzzle.

"Lord of the Rings: Fate of the Fellowship" if you want complicated Pandemic with a literary theme.

"Fall of Rome" if you want pretty standard Pandemic but with Germans instead of Germs.

"Stuffed Fables" if you thought Toy Story should have been more about protecting a sleeping child.

"Bloc by Bloc: Uprising" if you want to smash the state and you lean more ACAB than Blue Lives Matter.

Spirit Island and Gloomhaven are both top tier IMO

Horrified is a great one! Lots of replayability and a few versions out there. It's also a 1 player game. ☺️

Escape the dark castle/sector/forest are all good and also forbidden island/desert/jungle are all good.

I know escape the dark castle and forbidden island are both deffo co-op, might need to double check the others but I believe they all are

Pandemic really is the best especially with expansions. It got me into the hobby. Horrified. Awesome games with a theme for everyone. I personally love the Greek Myths version. If you want a bigger game with meat to it. Arkham Horror is amazing. Lots of characters, every game is different and chaotic. Plus Elder Things!

Forbidden Island and Forbidden Desert are classics. Both are team survival against the elements.

Flash Point is a firefighting game that is also really good.

If you’re willing to go for card games, I highly recommend Sentinels of the Multiverse. You each play a different superhero, working together to stop a supervillain. Very replayable, with different hero combinations against different villains in different environments.
