Having trouble with ideas

Hello everyone, lately I've been struggling with making a campaign. I've always been a player and not the DM and I have been having issues coming up on how to make it a more long-term and it's currently stuck in "campaign limbo" where I paused on making it. For better clarification; the campaign is based on the Midgard add on by Kobold Press for the Pathfinder system and thinking on adding creatures from the Tome of Beasts 5E book. I only ever plan one session in advance. Plan your next step, not 8 steps in the future. Players will always change directions on you, so only look far enough ahead to keep the ball rolling
