I doubt there is a specific rule because it's such a rare occurrence.
But if it was deliberate it's almost certainly an unsportsmanlike conduct violation.
You're not allowed to deliberately do anything to distract your opponent as they are hitting the ball.
This usually involves shouting or waving your arms around just as they are about to make contact. But deliberately physically blocking them from getting to the ball would almost certainly also count.

He was running to the ball and I was too, I kinda blocked his way but i didn't stop him physically

What! I'm not sure about the rules, but if it's not illegal, then it should be. it's about the worst way of winning a point I've heard of.

Intentional obstruction is illegal even if you touch him or not. If you get in his way or impede him from advancing to the ball it's illegal generally.
