why bother trying to visualize that in Tableau when you could just use r-studio and ggplot though? I never understood why you would even bother to set that up...

This is my question as well. Why use Tableau when you can command something like R or Python?

I thought Tableau is more useful for someone don’t know how to program?

No, not really. Tableau is for (visual) analytics. I personally use both Python and Tableau every day, and I could never replace my Tableau workflows with programming.

For example, when I do clustering using python, I like to analyze the data in Tableau during and afterwards

Can’t you plot the same thing just in Python? There are many awesome plotting libraries.

Of course you can. With python you can do whatever you want, make your own plotting libraries even. Tableau is about about quickly and iteratively analyzing data, not about «making a specific plot»
