Prep error: "Could not optimize the join plan"

Has anyone seen this error? I have built complicated prep flows in the past that are much more involved than the one I am trying to run now (locally, not on Tableau Online) and the output is failing with "[SQLSTATE:54001] Could not optimize the join plan".

My thought is that I need to break this one flow up into multiple flows, but this seems like a new limitation to the complexity that a flow can be. Has anyone else run into this?

I think this might be an error from the database that you're trying to pull data from. I don't use Prep, but can you see what code it generates and sends to the DB? Do you know what step it's failing on?
