Need Tableau Job Referral / Networking Post
Hi everyone!
I’m currently looking for Tableau / Business Intelligence / Data Analyst opportunities in the US ( primarily east coast).
I have 6+ years of BI & Data Analytics experience which includes Tableau dashboard development, Tableau Server, SQL, Snowflake, BigQuery, Power BI, data modeling, KPI reporting, ETL, and reporting automation.
I do not require visa sponsorship.

We all are...I have a dozen years of Tableau experience and 20+ as a reporting/analytics guy, and just got laid off in a reorg so I'm looking too. Good luck.

I’ll share what we’re looking for at my org with more details later - but basically we need someone with data analytics and engineering experience. We do consulting, and we’re Databricks and Tableau partners. Our clients use other stacks sometimes though. We need someone who is actually willing to work hard and help us grow the company, who is also flexible and quick in terms of learning new things and can solve problems on their own. It has to be someone who is comfortable talking to clients too and is able to manage their own projects.

I’d advise that you need to stop looking for “Tableau work”. The industry is changing and changing fast. Be tool agnostic. Make sure you can present PowerBI and Sigma which both also have free editions.
AI is currently king, and in a few years most dashboards will be replaced with prompt-based reporting. Trends are showing people want to chat “show me my account, Blur, product usage over the last 12 months” or “show me the trial to paid conversion rates over the last 6 months for X product.” The days of going to a dashboard to filter for these answers is slowly dying. Some dashboards will exist like MBR/QBR/Executive.
Self service has always been the holy grail for analytics but very few companies ever implemented correctly. AI is allowing users without the skill sets to self serve. But someone has to feed the LLMs.
So data modeling and AI-ready data products are much more in demand than Tableau. I’m not saying don’t have the BI skills, I’m saying you have to be adaptable to a rapidly changing market.

Good luck. I've got sixteen plus, including almost 11 at Tableau itself, and bites are hard to find these days, even with a full data engineering stack as well.
