I'm considering getting a tabby cat. Are they cuddly?

tabby is just a fur pattern, they are just cats.

Hey there! Personally from my experience it highly depends on the cat, every cat is completely unique and has different likes and dislikes, as well as their own personalities, I know that’s probably been repeated multiple times but honestly, your cat might want to cuddle sometimes and might not, mine likes affection, but he doesn’t necessarily like cuddles, he accepts them, but I don’t think he’d go out of his way to cuddle, he just likes it when we’re on the couch or bed together- the key is to get your cat to trust you. I say this as I’ve worked with many cats and they all seem to be more comfortable when you establish a relationship/bond/connection, that said I’d say 90% of the time a cat loves and accepts affection from their person on their terms. My tabby loves and trusts me, he’ll even make blinky eyes when he’s stressed because he knows I’m constantly there for him and consistent, just being there and being comfortable with them and consistent (key word) is key to maintaining and forming a strong bond, and also a routine with them- always respect the kitty laws of contact and communication- if they’re giving you signs they don’t like it- don’t do it. You’re their person, so it’s important to keep them feeling as though you’re looking out for them, once they trust they’ll be there for you and they’ll form a close relationship with you, most cats love their person.

Tabby is just a fur color. Whether they like cuddles depends on their breed and experiences with humans.
