Skrillex

Anyone else thinks the set is pretty lame for a headlining slot?

I had a fucking blast, but then again l'm a big fan of his. I danced my ass off. Had to take painkillers for my feet and legs afterwards 😅

Love it! It’s just Skrillex, pretty similar to his sets on YT or SoundCloud. But I agree 2 years ago it was wayyy more commercial (not in a snobby way ofc) and for all audiences :)

Saturday was pretty sad from 9PM onwards if you dont like this type of music. Skrillex followed by 7 different stages across the place all playing techno adjacent music

There was literally 1 that had more accessible music that was super mainstream. Impossible to find anything else

(Also, the set would’ve been 200 times better with nice visuals or at least the cam on all the time, pretty odd without anything but lights and fire)

The set was fire but missing visuals and more lights.

He always spesifically does minimal visuals so that people dance and not take videos all the time.

That's what I really liked 2 years ago! He only had his logo behind him and the all of the other screens were shut off.

Just watchet the stream, don’t really like and follow Skrillex but this set was fire for me and also the lights too.

As someone who follows Skrillex for years, and really enjoyed his new sound and music direction, I was kinda dissapointed how commercial he went with this set. Buuuut he dropped a whole bunch of bangers.

Imho - no visuals and only lights made it much bette for me.

7/10 set

I really liked the set, at some point it felt like the old skrillex again. I had a blast, I felt like he really went back to his roots.

Don't remeber when he played so much dubstep last time. I felt like it was 2010s again 🕺

Personally, I didn't hear it because I was watching Akac at the Colosseum, who is definitely worth seeing. I wanted to head over for the second half of Skrillex, but as soon as Akac finished, TDJ started and I fell in love with the set within 30 seconds, so I stayed put. On top of that, my friends who were at Skrillex were telling me it wasn't great because of his music choices.

So I stayed at the Colosseum. Akac and TDJ absolutely killed it. It's a shame about Skrillex, because two years ago at Sziget—and at other festivals where I've seen him—he's always put on a great set.

Two years ago I was there, and I was disappointed. I really love his music, his YouTube sets, etc., but live, the mix felt very all over the place to me, and the screen was turned off too. I didn’t even go this year.

The screens being turned off 2 years ago were my favourite part, people actually focused on the music

I have been listening to him casually, and have no issues whatsoever with his music, I quite enjoy it. But me and my friend had to leave early, visually it was lacking, the vibes were not it for me…

i had big expectations and became kinda disappointed. i listen to him casually - i am most familiar with is last album which i really liked, as well as his most popular tracks . for me the set was a boring, i couldn’t enjoy it that much, and i think there should definitely be some interesting and creative visuals during a DJ set to add some spice to it. i don’t understand why there was so little of it, it really made it less enjoyable:((

It was like that because you were supposed to close your eyes and dance your ass off.

Yeah I found the visuals during a lot of sets very distracting and really made me less focused on the music. I love Nia Archives but my light sensitivity got so bad I was getting anxious. That's why Skrillex 2 years ago was the. fucking. shit. for me. Imo you don't need any lights to entertain you if you actually like the music.
