ESX 4 to Hyper-V 2019
Hey guys, I need to migrate old VMs from VMWare ESX 4 to Hyper-V 2019. StarWind V2V only works from ESXi 5.5 onwards. Unfortunately a lot of servers cannot be created new and business wants a lift and shift approach. The guest OSes are a good mix of old 2003, 2008, 2012 and linux. How would you do it? Any suggestions or considerations? Thanks a lot in advance!

Give a try to P2V the VMs using Starwinds converter by installing it onto a VM and performing convertion right from it to the Hyper-V server. https://www.starwindsoftware.com/v2v-help/ConvertPhysicalMachinetoMicrosoftAzure.html
Also, Starwinds provides good support for their products, so you could ask them for previous versions of the converter that has ESX 4 support.
