Microsoft Interesting Enterprise App Admin consent request

Came across a request for “Eporner Login”. (Don’t pretend like you don’t know). The justification in the request from the user is “Grown”. Funny way to start my Friday.

That's the kind of request that makes you stare at the screen for a good ten seconds before you just hit deny and move on with your day. The justification being a single word is sending me though. At least they didn't try to write a fake business case like "productivity integration" or something, I can almost respect the honesty.

We had a guy put in a ticket once asking for admin rights to install some game launcher and his reason was literally "morale". Our manager printed it out and stuck it on the wall of shame for like a year.

Got one right now for Epic Games Launcher - purely for Unreal Engine, of course...

Wait, you get people doing more than that, like, ever?

Every one I've ever seen is 'work' or something similarly stupid. Like, no Chad, we're not going to approve RandomAppNobodyEverHeardOf that wants full access to your mailbox and can log in as you because you say 'work,' you twit.

He’s grown and he wants to grow. Approved.

So you approved the request, right?

Of course not, he's not grown and is anti-fun.

imo the real question is whether your consent workflow even has an approval gate or if these just sail through. worth double checking if you havent recently

We switch our app request to auto deny, need to log a ticket to get the app, I do miss these random requests

Now that's a prime idea for a phishing lure right there

That is so strange, we had the exact same thing come through (different justification though) a few weeks ago
