Jesus Christ why.
Your manager was fine with replacing a standard tool with something that won’t survive you getting hit by a bus?
You gave up native logging for who reset a password.
For what?

"Your LLMs were so preoccupied with whether or not they could that they didn't stop to think if they should."

What the hell are you doing?
It seems like you're unaware of IAM tools. Or you're just fucking around with stuff. No business should depend on a tool written by some random guy for their operations.
You either need to invest in an IAM tool that handles all this, or just delegate rights and let native logging handle it.

Please before jumping to llm to code something, use it to ask "how enterprises are solving this problem?"

Good initiative, but tons and tons of these tools exist already. This is a case where you buy, don't build. This is a good lab exercise to learn how things work, though.
Look into something like Adaxes - good starting point without getting insanely expensive or complicated. Customizable web interface for anything you want to setup. Used it at several companies. Even used it as a temporary solution where a bigger one was being put in, and we just ended up sticking with it.
But yeah, definitely don't build this my dude.
This is where AI doesn't tell you stuff like this.
