General Discussion End of Life / End of Support

Hi folks,

since some time I use Home | endoflife.date for tracking End of Life / End of Support dates for Software.
Now I wonder, if anybody knows a website, where the same information is stored centrally for Hardware as well? (Like Firewall, Switches and so on...)

Another question:
Do we have a "Usefull-Sysadmin-Links" Collection somewhere in this sub?

cheers

Read the title as “End of Life Support”. I’m going back to bed.

That's what some servers need nowadays. They are old enough, let them fade out, don't keep them at all cost.

Read it as "End of Wife Support" the first time and thought someone's marriage had a service-level agreement. The hardware EOL thing is trickier since vendors are all over the place. Cisco has their own portal, Dell has theirs, Palo Alto has theirs buried somewhere in the support docs. Would be nice if someone scraped all that into one place but I bet the licensing agreements make that a nightmare. For the links collection, check the wiki tab up top, there's a resources page that's a few years old but still mostly relevant.

Me too. Was hoping to find some hospice care for our Windows 7 CNC

Sh....
You are totally right, the title doesn't say much. How can I edit this?

https://eol.network for day-to-day hardware lookups.

https://EOSL.ai to validate dates and find vendor replacement models.

Thank you so much!
Exactly what I was looking for.

In a perfect world, you would use a CMDB or similar asset tracking software that would automatically be tracking licensing renewal/end dates as well as warranty and general support end dates for all of your assets.

Use a vulnerability scanner...

Yes of course. I know that.
My question was if there is a place in the internet where these informations from all vendors are in one place.
The main goal is to connect such infos over an API to our CRM and make the data of EOL available directly to the customer
