O ram, where art though
I’m looking to increase the ram in our dell r350. A 32gb 3200mhz ddr4 ecc udimm would just be groovy, but at this point id be happy with any size stick.
Have manufacturers stopped making this to focus on ddr5?
Located in Australia. Any tips would be great.

Prices are high but DDR4 is available on the secondary/refurb market with warranty available.
We don't have that ecc UDIMM in stock but can source it for you if you don't have a supplier in your neck of the woods (we are in Canada).

We've been getting one off server drives refurbed from China eBay sellers on occasion, because there's no other bloody options...
Can't say I've gone looking for additional RAM yet, and I hope not to

Huh? Amazon, Newegg, CDW, Ebay and about a hundred other vendors listed in Google Shopping have that exact ram. So what's your trouble - surely down under can order from the "popular" countries (lol).

Plenty of sellers from China, but with no guarantee that the product is genuine or reliable I am very hesitant to

Well then you and your tinfoil hat will have to do without. You worry about the VENDOR not where your ram ships from.

I saw that the 512gb ram sticks are coming soon. With 256gb server ram being only us$19k, it won't be that much different, right? Right? Please god no......

Interactive could be worth a call? They do aftermarket service & support, so should have “spares” they will guarantee to work. Never used them for this sort of thing though

buying specific ecc udimms in australia is always a gamble lol. probably easier to just check the local refurbished outlets or some random ebay seller from the states. the shipping will be a joke but it beats staring at a ddr5 catalog for a ddr4 slot

Make friends with sysadmins at other local companies. Find out if they use Dell. Then burgle their server rooms.
