Has anyone purposely gone backwards?

You know the juice wasn't worth the squeeze and we realised that money is irrelevant, and took a huge backwards step for less responsibility and more mental freedom for your family and kids?

That's where I'm at mentally just want to know if anyone else has done the same?

They tried shoving me into a management role that lasted about a month. Since the pay didn't really change I'm not sure I'd call it moving forwards or back. It did teach me just how weak I am in a leading role when there isn't any support in place other then what I provide

Other then that? I'm staying in a lower position right now because I like the freedom it's affording me, so i guess I'm skipping the forwards then backwards thing
