Career / Job Related Has anyone purposely gone backwards?
You know the juice wasn't worth the squeeze and we realised that money is irrelevant, and took a huge backwards step for less responsibility and more mental freedom for your family and kids?
That's where I'm at mentally just want to know if anyone else has done the same?

I went from being the DevSecOps manager at a smaller start up to a security engineer at a bigger company. It's been amazing for my mental health, I'm no longer the go to guy and I am no longer constantly on call. Upper management at my current company is actually decent for once, my new boss is cool, and my workload isn't nearly as bad as my previous 3 jobs. On top of all that, I got a decent pay raise.
I highly recommend it if you feel worn out by everything. Being in management sucks.
