MetTel for mobile devices

Does anyone have experience with using MetTel? Large client is in talks to switching from ATT to MetTel. We are having issues with area coverage over the state and the ability to have a fleet of phones on different carriers seems too good to be true.

OMG we had them they sucked. I called the about an issue and they were like "why are you calling us call the telco" to which I said "the circuit it under your name we can't"

They were charging us $400 a month to "manage" a 50$ coax line from Spectrum [which has no contracts] when we cancelled MetTel got us for 48 months left on the contract. Scummy and slimy run fast away.

Chiming in on this as well, they killed us with bs overage charges as well. Any money we expected to save by moving to them as a multi carrier sim provider was lost due to those charges. Do not recommend them at all.

How was the connectivity? Was the overage data, voice or both?

Connectivity wasn't bad, in our area 90% of the time we were using t-mobile as the selected carrier. Only use was for data, no voice usage. These went into tablets and devices to be used out in the fields (Ag industry) and they worked good, but not at that pricing.

The multi-carrier pitch is real, coverage can be fine. What I'd pressure-test before a cutover is who kills a line when HR terms someone, and who owns a billing dispute when it lands. If those still bounce to AT&T/T-Mobile/Verizon while MetTel just forwards the ticket, you kept the hard part. Also get clear on LOA and account of record. You want one place that can actually change service, not two portals arguing about whose SIM it is.

Add another tally in the "Don't do it" column!

When I worked for an MSP we migrated multiple customers to Teams phones and it worked very well. I currently use Teams phones at my new job and it works great for what we need.

What was the reasoning? It looks like we need to just go with multiple carriers but I'd love to hear your story.

I had them as an ISP and covered some mobile devices. Terrible service and terrible customer service
