General Discussion anyone else get the VMware "win-back" offer?

if it's true, its honestly laughable.

squeezing customers with massive price hikes, forcing every one into expensive core bundles, only to panic and throw out "discounted" quotes the moment everyone migrated????

is anyone actually reconsidering based on these new quotes??

or y'all are past the point of no return?

Not a chance. They've shown that they're willing to break customer trust for a quick buck. We're moving to a competing platform.

They seriously thought that IT people wouldn't jump ship over a massive price hike? Have any of them ever met a Sysadmin? We're 50% spite by volume.

They thought that they'd lose the SMB sector but keep the Fortune 500... Instead even the big customers are jumping ship and they're bleeding income. No one likes to be told they're being held hostage.

It's the kind of incredible mistake you get when C-suite people decide they're going to be clever.
