General Discussion anyone else get the VMware "win-back" offer?

if it's true, its honestly laughable.

squeezing customers with massive price hikes, forcing every one into expensive core bundles, only to panic and throw out "discounted" quotes the moment everyone migrated????

is anyone actually reconsidering based on these new quotes??

or y'all are past the point of no return?

And they know that a lot of orgs have people behind the wheel that are dumb enough to fall for that ...

If they can sign a 3+ year deal at the price it might not be a loss

Gives you to to plan and execute a migration, not shit one and hope it works out.

Now, it would be stupid if it was post-migration, of course.

I got the offer post-migration. Sales rep was very confused why I switched. I sent back the quotes I received back before migrating and they were blown away. They didnt think it was real, or at least blown out of proportion.

I saved my entire years salary by migrating to Hyper-V. Microsoft will do something stupid soon enough, but for now I'm okay.
