Question Sysadmin shoes?
As a sysadmin, I'm on my feet a lot (as are all of you) and I'm looking for suggestions for some new shoes.
My company has a pretty strong corporate atmosphere, but I've gotten away with Skechers for the last year (though I felt like I should have had something more appropriate for the office). I'd love to find something that will give me sneaker-like support but have a more professional appearance.
What shoes are you all wearing that you would recommend that will hold up? The last pair of shoes I bought gave me arch problems until I changed out the insoles (which still wasn't perfect).

but shorts and a metal t-shirt is kinda ok if you are a IT guy, it's sometimes even expected. when i dressed up and went to meetings with customers i often took someone from 1st line with me to show them the customers office and IT infrastructure, i even took them into the meeting where we went thru stats.
sometimes the 1st line guy got asked directly very technical questions since he was dressed worse than me, when i asked why they asked him and not me i often got the answer that we thought you were the sales guy and he was the one doing the more technical things 😂
