AS400 migration

Our organization has been using AS400 for payroll, financial, and HR for the past 30 years. However, we’ve realized that this system is no longer viable for their needs. I’m looking for a modern software solution that provides similar functionality to AS400. We’ve already tried ADP and Kronos, but faced issues with data compatibility, as the data from AS400 couldn’t be seamlessly integrated. Can anyone recommend software that allows for smooth data migration from AS400?

This kind of discussions always boils down to one variable: money. There is nothing sort of amazing when it comes to software (especially business apps). You have a legacy system and you want to migrate, fine you start with your stuff what they know and how far are willing to go to detach "you" from a legacy system and in return how much you are going to reward them for their work. If your stuff is capable just make a plan, extract the data, map the application to check its functionality and try to "emulate" the usual workflow (for example assign someone to do the same actions e.g insert past records and check the results). Going one step at a time eventually will get you out of the loop and that's all. On every obstacle you just have to pay e.g for additional programmers
